The graphics for this game are incredible, and in insane mode it can take several hours to beat. Deffinately worth $7.99, too bad The Force Unleashed was not more like this game. Update - 2 years later this is still one of the best games on the iPhone. It is a shame that Digital Legends never made any other games, or even a sequel.

This game may have at one time done that, but now with games like Chaos Rings, Infinity Blade, and Street Fighter 4, the graphics in this game seem to lag behind. Also, this game tends to get very repetitive. Still, for 99 cents, its better than a lot of games of the same price.

The constant mace swinging gets really annoying! Its the only weapon you get. No replay value! I paid full price for this garbage on day on of release. What a ripoff.

This game can be a ROCK! but theres few features shall be added and the interface have to be edited.. Multitasking and etc would be useful!

Even if it is an old game, its barely worth a free download; theres nothing fun about the button mashing gameplay, no variety. The intro menu book is the highlight, and it is minor to say the least.

Its been about three years since I last saw or even heard about this. Now it has become free. Neat. Now I can finally try the game..three years later. xD Id say its a decent side-scroll beat em up game. Although a bit repetitive and short, this game DID set the bar for graphical games from the very beginning. I dont think I should say what needs to be updated for this game because the developers are nowhere to be seen or heard from after this was released. No new games, no update, consider hopes for new update from them MIA.

Its an alright app. Digital Legends really disappointed me with their Bad Company 2 iPhone port, but at least this app proves that they were capable of making a sturdier engine. Maybe they should really focus on more levels and customization, whether it be new weapons or armor, etc. Overall a meh app.

The game looks great with the smooth graphics but the controls leaves it wanting with no block or no way to dodge attacks. Also there is no need to add the same button twice. Over all its ok for a side scroller

the game is ok but i played know for about 2 days. And everytime i got to chapter 2 and get to the bigger monster. it puts me back to my main screen and i have to start again this is b.s. i would rate it higher but until you fix it i wont or buy the full version either please fix!!!!!!!!

Too repetitive, only three levels available, limited controls, no dodging button, and too short!! I finished in 35 minutes and its too boring!!

Way too short, beat it in 20 minutes and was bored every second of it, no enemy variety, the boss is the same monster for each chapter, really easy, graphics are only okay, and he does the same attack every time. Lame

I love this game because I got itwhen it was free. It is short and repetive. However, it is fun and it has good graphics.

Still running a first generation iPhone, its becoming harder to find games that will run. Many demand a newer version of iOS that I run, and of those that do run, most are extremely buggy (if it even starts up at all,) or slow to the point of being unplayable. Kroll works. Kroll works very well. Granted it was developed when my phone was still the latest & greatest, but Kroll has never crashed on me, animates beautifully, and plays smoothly. I see many recently developed games that are nowhere close in terms of graphics or design, and yet run like molasses and stares at you blankly as you taptaptap on the "play" button. Not to mention its up and running in seconds, Gameplay however is simplistic. But simplistic in an enjoyable way. Run/bash left. Run/bash right. Theres no blocking, running, or jumping. All the enemies are more or less bigger & badder variants of three types. The map is strictly linear, but modeled in 3D, with the camera angle tilting and twisting in a manner that makes you not immediately realize its really one dimensional. This game is simple and short, but fun and presented beautifully. Its enjoyable enough I kept it around to play through on all difficulty levels ... usually Ill just complete a game on the normal setting, then move on, with or without "3 stars" on everything. (Spoiler: finishing on "insane" doesnt unlock any special features or animation.) Disclaimer. I purchased this during a free promotion. Searching the web, this game apparently used to sell for $8. So my opinion may or may not have been different had I bought it at full price.
